SDK BUILDING COMMISSIONING (Cx) AND ENERGY MODELING EXPERIENCE
SDK provides full fundamental and additional building commissioning services from the early planning and design stages through until building completion in accordance with and meeting the LEED requirements for commissioning. SDK assumes the roll as the building commissioner, from third party mechanical system review of construction documents to functional testing, and pre-occupancy commissioning services.

SDK is one of the most experience and successful LEED Green Building Consulting practices in the United States with 9 LEED certified projects. Of those 9 projects, we acted as the commissioning authority on 2 projects, and we are the commissioning authority on 7 of the current 12 new projects where we are the LEED Green Building consultant responsible for LEED certification. SDK also provides energy modeling services or support to the engineers on energy modeling to meet LEED energy prerequisite and energy optimization points.

Our experience with Cx services on our LEED certified projects has demonstrated that having a single entity be responsible for the entire LEED process as well as commissioning brings value to the costs associated with the parallel tasks, supports the potential for a very successful and streamlined effort towards LEED goals, and that close proximity to the site and owner is a critical success factor.
